A trough moves northeast over the region this evening. A disturbed southwest flow covers the country for the entire period. Forecast issued at 0510hrs Thursday 11-Mar-2010 Valid to midnight tonight for Inshore waters from Mayor Island to Motiti Island and then east to Torere River mouth
Today:
Southwest 15 knots rising to 20 knots gusting 30 knots late morning. Slight sea becoming moderate late morning. Mostly fine, a few showers possible this evening.

Friday:
Southwest 20 knots, rising to 25 knots gusting 35 knots in the afternoon. Fine spells and a few showers.
Saturday:
Westerly easing to 15 knots during the morning, then rising to 20 knots gusting 30 knots towards evening. Fine.
Sunday:
Southwest 20 knots. Fine.
